So much for academic theory. My gut says that I don’t want to see any of the Palestinians receiving so much as a penny of our tax dollars. I want to see them nullified. I don’t care if they’re nullified by sweet reason or by far less savory means. In any case, they’re getting getting plenty of money from the Arab world. For example here’s an article from the Middle East Media Research Institute entitled: Saudi Royal Family’s Financial Support to the Palestinians 1998-2003. Notice that the Saudis aren’t paying for agricultural development, nor industrial, they’re paying for murder. It’s all the Palestinians care about.
I understand (slightly) the take care of the people - show humanity even though they don’t deserve it - to hopefully increase their desire to overthrow the violent of their ilk. That doesn’t seem to be working well at all though as they elected the slime to lead them.
I have always supported a different kind of American ‘donation’ - a well placed nuke until they glow. . .End it once and for all - plus the meaningful warning to all those who are working behind the scenes to keep this violence going - would be worth it.

Wardmama, I’ve said it before ... if our gov wants to be humanitarian, then send them food, medicine, and clothing. Take the money that would otherwise wind up in some corrupt pali’s Swiss bank account and put it back into the American economy. $150 million buys a lot of stuff. Fill up a whole freighter with flour, rice, sugar, salt, canned vegetables, etc.
But not a dollar in cash that could wind up buying weapons.
Oh I agree - and I can’t understand how anyone can justify any money to these violent, despicable sub-human scum - for any reason at all. Since the last ‘election’ I don’t believe that there is anyone there worth the consideration.
Seems like a few Repubs have joined the Dems in the Throw Money At It One Size Fits All Solution - and there goes a few more hard earned dollars to fund more terrorism in the World. . .
Don’t get so excited, its just Jorge Bush doing what is natural to him and his attendants—something stupid. He’ll keep sending milliles/bombs into Somalia until he gets us tied up there for 10 years. No one in Africa want to stop the cr*p, let them burn in h*ll. France and Spain are much closer to those people than we, so I say to Jorge, get on their case, particularly after just giving Fwance part of the 35b for US aircraft. Just another notch on his belt. He is still hoping to get a Noble Piece Prize.
