Having had food poisoning and survived, I can tell you that it is a miserable experience. Stuff coming out of both ends, cramps, chills, blurred vision, in general feeling like you are going to die and wishing you could get it over with.
I have to wonder how Mookie’s case got bad enough to require moving him to another country and bringing in specialists. In my case, the local emergency room put IV’s in my arms and wrapped me in warmed blankets. After about 8 hours, I was still weak and miserable, but I was good enough to be released with the warning to drink ginger ale and eat bland food for a while. OK, now you tell me, how bad did Mookie’s doctors have to blow it to put him in a coma?
this asswipe should have been dead 4 yrs. ago, good riddance!!
That’s what he gets for wiping his ass with his hand. Good riddance. Should have given him a third eye four years ago, like Rancino said.
Don’t blame you for not wanting food poisoning, it’s a misery to be sure. I’d say a good answer is to start being more careful of the food you eat. Try Hebrew National, they’re a good brand.
*innocent look*
GOF, I’m suspecting you know a bit more than average. In general, people think being Kosher is just a matter of not eating pork. Not quite. For the rest of you, the Kosher laws broadly fall into three categories:
1) A Health code: eg. Every animal slaughtered must be inspected by a Rabbi and checked for signs of disease. The meat must be kept clean and eaten while it is still fresh.
2) A Moral Code: eg. Thou shall not seethe the kid (baby goat) in the mother’s milk (that was to feed it growing up - insult to injury). Thou shall not eat the limb of the living. The animal must be slaughtered in a particular manner to minimize the animal’s suffering.
3) Can be summed up as: “I am the Lord your G-d and you’ll do it my way!” Generally this section covers the types of meat that can be eaten. To be Kosher, the animal must have scales (fish - yes, eels, lobster or clams - no), feathers or a cloven hoof (this is the one covering pork, but it also prohibits eating horses and dogs).
There’s much more, but here you have the basic outlines.
Oddly (or interestingly), some of the dietary laws of Islam appear to have been taken from Judaism. That’s a relationship that no one’s comfortable with. Anybody out there know just how much the two sets of laws are the same?
I guess this is why Sadr’s army offered a cease fire recently - how many want to guess that the reality is that Sadr really had a meaningful contact with a well made piece of American munition or shrapnel caused by same?!?
Or of course there is always someone part of the cause who decided that he did not want to end up dead, who decided the best (and safest) way to do it is poison the snake’s head. . .
I go with martyr - that is the way of these islimes - but hey like OBL - they just might let him die quietly - just to keep the cause alive.
Hey Mookie Google FOAD!
Must have been caused that specially prepared pork tartare and the fugu (blowfish) sushi that our “operatives” gave to him
RIP (Rotten Islamofascist Pr*ck)
Hmmm...let’s see...<acronym title="Russian Doctors">Русские Доктора</acronym>...food poisoning...mix in a little polonium-210 and it all adds up!
