Wow they gave the evilbushitlerburtonco a few weeks - The Big O didn’t even get that! My, my how the winds have changed - or simply it is that there was no reason to do this.
Well, no poop will stick to the Magnificent O, no matter what happens. But the questioning and protesting of the act itself is going full speed. Some are dragging up that lame War Powers Act over here, others becrying a lack of exit strategy (after only 4 days in), others see that just bombing the Mad Hatter won’t do the job without boots in the sand. No kidding! And the worthless and duplicitous Arab League was 500% in favor of the no-fly long before the EU/UN got it’s act together, until they found out that actually making one required a bit of blowing stuff up and killing those who would shoot back at the no-fly enforcement agents. Then suddenly they were all whingy and chickened out, changing their own role to delivering cous-cous and band-aids. Hosers. Soon they’ll be be blaming everything on evil America/EU/Joooos even though they were the ones clamoring for this in the first place.
I think what we’re seeing in Libya is another flare-up of tribalism, the everlasting curse of the African continent. So let’s “level the playing field” by taking out the Libyan air force and tank corps, then leave the tribes to slaughter each other until a clear winner emerges. What other plan could there be?
No one in the 21st century will EVER admit it, but colonialism was the best thing to ever ever happen to Africa. Even under the Italians, who often used poison gas to get their way, things were better then than they are now. Tribalism is the thing in all of Africa and in most of the Middle East as well, whether it’s the tribe called the House of Saud or the tribe called the Tikriti (Saddam’s people) or whatever. Bottom line is that the whole effin bunch is just 2 small steps more philosophically advanced than cavemen, regardless of what kind of money and technology they have to play with. “Being one” within islam actually IS an advancement for them, and one that they can not make, which is why the half dozen branches of the “faith” will go right back to killing each other when they’re not too busy trying to kill us.

Drew, it makes me wonder what Africa would be like today if the European colonial powers hadn’t drawn up the “national” border the way they did. And if they were 2 philosophical steps above cavemen, does that still place them above the Mohammedans?
