1. Anybody besides me think the artist got the pencil shaving coming out the wrong way with respect to the silver blade? The shaving should be going upward over the blade - not directly downward away from it.

   Artistically, I’d argue that it looks better the way it is, but it’s not objectively accurate.

2. Well, it’s not as if they caught the dozen or so tiny lil bits around the edge of the shaving, *all in mid fall* to the ground, either. Whatever the original elements of the picture were, they’ve definitely been played with.
   But hey, that’s what makes it art, right? Instead of just some picture yer uncle took cos he knew no one would believe him.

3. What a cool looking downward spiral, looks like there is enough for two pencils there.
