  1. Merry Christmas, Peiper. smile

We did up a 25 lb bird, and have PLENTY of leftovers. Doesn’t bother me any, I love toasted turkey sandwiches with mayo and lots of black pepper!

  2. Merry Christmas sir.

I haven’t been by BMEWS for a while, my apologies.

I was fortunate enough to attend my cousin’s prime rib roast dinner. Spectacular!

I find the older I get (43) the more I just appreciate the getting together.

I hope everyone out there is with those they love.

Merry Christmas, and to all, goodnight.

  3. Happy Christmas, JD. Or as they say in “the colonies”, Merry Christmas. Hope Santa treated you well, and pray the English will suggest to the EU that they take their gift of “oneness” and bugger right off with it. And to all the other BMEWSers, the same. We ain’t dead yet. Remember your oath of enlistment? REMEMBER YOUR OATH OF ENLISTMENT! ALL enemies, foreign AND DOMESTIC! I know there are .mil readers. Spread the message. “You can’t stop the signal.”

  4. Merry Christmas all. We had a wonderful day - much fun had by all, too much eating and - it begins again today! When we add 4 or 5 (depending on whether a particularly heinous version of ex-wife decides to ‘allow’ s-i-l to ‘have’ his son for one of his two yearly visitations - which he hasn’t been able to use at all because he’s been in Afghanistan). We have turkey, we have ham, we have baked goods - I got smart and separated into 3 packages - otherwise we’d been eaten out of house and home, already. The only problem is we no longer have an empty room or bed space.

But alas - I will use the after Christmas sales to good advantage and fix that for the moment. We are attempting to figure out - whom to call who would come over to take (at least) 3 different shots of the entire family together.

It has been wonderful - minus my mother who is on a pitty jag and calling multiple times a day to rant (that is a long and horrible story about how she can ruin my life without even trying - she should be at Gitmo - then even I would buy into the tortue accusation) - to have children and grandchildren here. And after March - they will all be in the Mid-west - so we might be able to visit more often.

I just wish that the Christmas spirit could stay around all year. It goes away much too quickly these days and I will bet money that starting today we will have non-stop stories on the historic disaster that will be foisted upon the American people later next month.

Try not to eat too much - and do me a favor - either kiss the cook (if appropriate) or (even more important) help her/him clean the kitchen!
