  1. Bet it would have turned out a lot differently if it was a judge’s daughter this guy killed in the hit-and-run.

How freakin’ hard is it to put immigration applicants in a status of “Convicted of breaking a serious law, automatic sendback, no appeals, no questions, just get the fuck out of our country, NOW, AND STAY OUT.”

Really, what the hell does it take to return to sanity?

  3. And Britain is denying residence to those Gurkhas who served only 15 years in the British Army. Perhaps they should have tried being terrorists instead of giving their blood for Britain.

  4. What does it take to get deported? A letter from the (two) Homes Secretary or her underling. Deportation is not allowed for EU nationals who have been convicted of a crime and sentenced to less two years. For non EU nationals it is one year. Deportation is usually blocked by various human rights appeals and associated bullshit. However change is in the air.

Oh and if you are a Gurkha who has put his life on the line for Britain then in the opinion of Brown and the rest of the socialist scum you can bugger off too. However if you are a low life, benefits recipient scumbag you are most welcome.

There a re county council elections in June followed by EU elections. It is going to be very interesting to see how people vote now.

  5. My thinking isn’t getting as far as the immigration issue.  I’ve fixed on this little bit about the hit-and-run killing of Amy Houston.

...was jailed for four months by Blackburn magistrates for driving while disqualified and failing to stop after an accident. Ibrahim was disqualified and driving with no insurance when he hit Amy and left her to die.  The maximum they could have given him was six months but they were required to give him credit for an early guilty plea.

SIX m*th*r f***ing G** d**n months, of which he only served four, for the hit and run killing of a 12 year old girl along with two other violations of the law!?!?!?!

The British appeal system almost makes sense compared to that prison sentence.  Even here in California where we are famous for squirrely judges, his time would have been measured in years.  Since prison inmates don’t like people who commit crimes against children, he would have felt every one of those years too.  Actually, it wouldn’t have been the years he felt, it would have been...(NSFW or family).

P.S. I also find the treatment of the Gurkhas especially sickening too.

It used to be that you could look to Communists or related wackos for the plotting of social destruction, who is it now?

  6. Jeff and Lyndon,
I happened to read (and now sorry I didn’t save it) an editorial on the subject of the Gurkhas.
It’s an emotional subject and on first reading yeah, I thought how ungrateful can a govt. get.

But on the other hand ... as the editorial mentions.  In a very real way most were mercenaries in that they were not fighting for old blighty but were in fact paid.
They didn’t for example fight to return the Falklands to England. They fought for cash.
Their pay and lifetime pensions made them very influential in their home communities in Nepal. When asked why they joined many answered because the uniform gave them much status
and the pay made them wealthy by Nepal standards.

Please do not think I’m knocking mercs or Gurkhas but the editorial strips away the emotion of the moment.  None of which is to say btw that many didn’t feel somethings for this country in a personal way. But according to the piece I happened on, merely wearing the uniform doesn’t convey sainthood. Also, they were never promised anything but what they got.

Overall tho I think many ppl here would rather see the Gurkhas then the muslims.

  7. Peiper, all the british troops get paid, they have been a cornerstone of the army for a long time (check out :-http://www.fmft.net/ they have lots of refrences to them ) given the the shiftless shits in what passes for government hand out residency, homes and money to all undesirables who scam their way in, the treatment of the Gurkhas is yet another inexcusable act by NuLabour.
