2. Wow, seriously lax security.

   Employees allowed to bring personal effects into the gold-vault (a purse), an obvious lack of security cameras and personnel watching closely, no policy about stripping down and wearing a pocket-less jumpsuit before entering the vault, no audits to help catch this kind of theft right away…

   Six years to catch her?  Just… wow.

4. Peiper I agree it does seem a stiff sentence, but there again in the good old days people caught coin clipping were dealt with very severely…
