  1. Another shining example of how our douche bag president is letting us down.  He could direct the AG to either prosecute or drop the issue.

It is difficult to understand how this investigation could be taking so long to produce an indictment.

Bush has obstructed this once - maybe he is obstructing it again.

Maybe along the lines of pretending islam is a peaceful enterprise, he is pretending Jefferson is snow white and blameless.

  2. Of course this makes sense - he used the National Guard to get his ‘possessions’ out of his home during the Huricane, jumped on the Bush’s fault/failure bandwagon and is a crook from LA (actually a two-fer, since he mis-Represents NO) - now he can be on the committee to ‘leak’ classified information to the dnc to destroy the President and undermine the Iraq War faster and slush his way even more of the scam money flooding the NO area (while still not accomplishing much of anything).

Come on - armadefoc when was the last time a Dem was convicted of anything? Oh yeah I forgot Clinton pardoned two of them (Reynolds and Rostenkowski) and sad to say, the last one was from OH - Trafficant.

Not sure what the hangup here is - maybe the fact that so many in the House suffer from bds and are protecting him - or maybe protecting themselves. Besides the NO angle always makes for a good avoidence technique.

  3. Well, you are right.  No argument there.

I suppose I just sort of expect more from a “conservative” republican.  It is one thing to see a dem get a pass from a dem.  It is quite another to see the passes handed out from our side. And this from someone who has nothing to lose.

But this has been classic Bush behaviour.  From the day he took office, he handed out passes to former Clinton officials.  Hell, look at Berger.

Look at his father holding hands and jet setting with Clinton.

Its all such a big sick game.

  4. One thing that is interesting about Jefferson..

The total lack of howling from the left over his “innocence.”

The total lack of indignation from the right over the lack of an indictment.

Maybe there are far too many freezers stuffed with cash on both sides.

America’s criminal class.  Never more true.

  5. There would probably be enough taxpayer money to deal with Katrina is Jefferson would just defrost his freezer a little more often. Louisiana politicians…

  6. Wonder if he declared the money on his income taxes?  If I had that kind of money fall into my lap then the IRS would be after me for a healthy chunk of it even if it had already been spent.

  7. Oops, forgot the IRS also has a reward program for reporting tax frauds.  Anyone interested in nailing this guy to the wall on income tax evasion?  It could be profitable for the conservatives.
