5. Yes I did Chris. Maybe I was feeling a bit touchy at the time, but your joke had a level of detail that seemed offensive to me. Somewhere there’s a line that I don’t want crossed here, and sometimes I don’t know where it is until I see that it’s been crossed.

   The core concept of your joke is exactly the same as

   “2 million people attended Obama’s inauguration on Tuesday afternoon!

   Only 12 of them missed work.”

   which leaves it to the reader to read between the lines a little.

   It’s a balance thing. A degree of subtly; a slight bit of tact. Not a demand for being PC, just a small effort to avoid being crass. I hope you can see that. Rich’s joke here wryly points out media bias. Anybody can work in the media, even though anti-military and progressive ideology seems highly prevalent.
