  1. Um, so cheesecake doesnt ring a bell??
I really tried to watch and like that show but it just has too many unexplained plot trails for me to digest, kinda like LOST but not as bad.

  2. As for gwinny there at top, whats not to like. A pretty girl without panty lines is a work of art just lacking a canvass,,,,,,,or a mattress, depending on your state of mind.

  4. Rich, Fringe is like Lost only in that it requires attentive watching. There are actually no dead ends, unlike Lost which was full of them. But it’s a very hard show to just walk into the middle of.

OTOH, each episode can stand on it’s own, mostly. Every week there is a strange crime to solve, whether it’s driven by the alternate universe folks or not. If it is, then it’s a clue to the Big Picture. If it’s not, then it’s an experience that helps shape the character’s outlooks. This isn’t Twin Peaks where the weird is there just for weirdness’s sake.

We buy the DVD set at the end of each season, then re-watch before the next season starts. And amaze ourselves at all the Ah ha! moments we find.

The first half of this season featured Olivia and her dye-job redheaded might-be-evil twin from Over There. WOW. What a difference. Alt-livia is perky, sexy, punchy, confident. She’s also less intelligent, less insightful, lazier, less of a leader, etc. It’s often subtle. All this from some low rise BDUs, a bit of eyeshadow and a few reps with the curling bar! Walter vs Walternate is starkly different. One is a happy go lucky stoner mad scientist, the other is actor John Noble still playing Denethor form LOTR, but in a suit and in their slightly futuristic alternate fascist universe. The subtle Olivia/Alt-livia thing is pretty fascinating. Either that,or I want to make a twins sandwich out of them both and have lunch. Both! Yes!
