  1. Your late MIL spent her whole life in that house, right? I’m not surprised that you turn up some interesting old bits. Lord only knows what’s up in the attic!

Spotter cards from WWII. Cool. The original flash cards IIRC.

  2. She bought this place in 1964 I think.  In the 70s somewhere, maybe early 70s, wife and I used the house while she was away visiting her son in Australia.
I can’t remember what triggered it but we had to call in electricians and the house had to be rewired. All the old lead lined stuff taken out etc. The old 20’s light switches changed.
Or maybe they came from the 30’s. Anyway, there were stacks of old and mostly rotted newspapers in the attic from precious owners. A 1939 announcement of war declared, all sorts of junk had to be carted away.
There’s a huge difference we found (even after moving here in 2004) between just hoarding “stuff” and saving and preserving.  The old lady just hoarded with no thought to the mice shitting and pissing on everything and squirrels too we believe.

  3. "The Paris Hilton of the Cat World”.... hmmmm....

The problem I see with that one is that ALL cats are Paris Hiltons. Even the old veteran toms with ears like flags left out in a hurricane and faces like cauliflower with hair.

  4. Grumps ...
Someone once did a cartoon that said cats were the Nazis of the animal world. While funny I guess, I don’t but it.
Cats are really fur people and lovable.
They are smart too and they know how to bark if they want to but they don’t see the point of it. lol.

Yeah ... you could say we cat crazy and especially me. Just love the critters.
Same with dogs btw but generally LARGE ones.  Hate the little barky shaky ones. Noise makers with hair.

  5. Oh tripe.

Just when I finished finding a “Final Solution” to my Personal set of problems, anotherone pops up.

Don’t worry Peiper, this won’t take long to fix.
