  1. This Sucks.  Big time.  Maybe some of the Libbys, Roves, et al could share some of these experiences....

If a decision on the line in the field has this kind of a consequence - then a decision form the hallowed halls should have the same..

But somehow the lawyers lawyer up and never face anything.  Maybe a deadly press conference or two…

  2. I guess that’s what happens to Border Patrol agents protecting our nation from drug smugglers.  Remember that was George Bush’s Justice Department that went after those two Border Patrol agents like Pit Bulls after cat.

  3. It’s sick, just plain sick.  Has anyone here besides me read Bill Jordan’s book No Second Place Winner?  He must be spinning in his grave.

  4. Also for a good account of early border patrol days, read Askins’ work, “Unrepentant Sinner.”

  5. Left in prison, it won’t be long before they are killed.

But hey, we made an example of BPA’s who would shoot drug smugglers.

  6. Thanks for the post Skipper. WND now reporting that government admits to lying about the agents and lots of folks demanding that DHS/DOJ be nailed under RICO. Good news is rumored to happen by this weekend.

  7. A Department of Homeland Security official admitted today the agency misled Congress when it contended it possessed investigative reports proving Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean confessed guilt and declared they “wanted to shoot some Mexicans” prior to the incident that led to their imprisonment.

The admission came during the testimony of DHS Inspector General Richard L. Skinner before the Homeland Security Subcommittee of the House Appropriations Committee, according to Michael Green, press secretary for Rep. John Culberson, R-Texas.

    LEADERSHIP.

Leadership is when you can each and every lying, scheming shitbag involved with this.  No questions, no hearings.  Only a boot in the ass.

Then you direct the AG to IMMEDIATELY free the two - without bond - while they wait for a real trial. You then direct the AG to draw up appropriate charges against the government employees behind this debacle.

    That would be leadership.

    Don’t hold your breath.
