  1. Very cold and overcast all day. Cold rain (but made it to post office)with more expected.

Wales is quite far away from us but the weather guys say we might get temps of -3c.
LYNDON .. how do I work out c to f for the temps?
Anyway ... rain could turn to snow tomorrow we are told. Hell, we’re stocked up. Have a new jar of Baileys Irish Cream and pizza in freezer etc.  All I have to worry about now is flickering lights now and again.

It is cold though. A warm winter was I think predicted but then, you know what weather predictions are like.

  2. C to F is something like (9/5*F) +32 or something like that. Why bother? Go here:

  3. Since this seems to be the best place - I drove home in that drivel last night (well actually we drove home in it on Sunday night and then I did it again Monday night). My mom is down, but as with her not out yet. The Dr however does not want to play the game of back and forth between the hospital and nursing home. And basically she has refused any cardiac intervention and her COPD is end stage. So now it is down to how long will this last - days or weeks. So I assume I will be going back and forth much in the coming days - great with no income coming in.

Meanwhile, the guy given the POA is attempting to clean out her apartment. So my Uncle (a lawyer) is getting a revocation letter for her to sign - and we hope that she can be talked into it (i.e. convinced we are not attempting to steal her blind but rather that the non-family jerk she gave a POA to, is). Oh, did I tell you she is much better today, lucid and such.

And my brother (oldest surviving sibling) has found peace in his new family and go away. And my sister (second oldest surviving sibling) has changed her phone to no incoming calls allowed - thus she is off the grid too. And that leaves it to me and her brother to deal with it all.

And I just spent from 12:30 to 5:30 knee deep in this mess yesterday and I want to wash my hands of it, already.

I just hope that the Uncle can stop this legally before there is nothing left of her belongings and accounts - or she will be coming to live with me - and will live forever.

  4. Very sorry to hear all that wardmama. Hope things work out, but at best it’s going to be bleak.

Yes, any POA who isn’t family is a crook. Period. POA should NEVER be granted to an outsider when relatives are available.
