  1. You started to say “the Nigerian”? Yes, he’s that, too.

According to today’s Debbie Schlussel, the FBI is denying the 2nd Man theory. It figures.

And now we find out more about daddy - wealthy banker and former minister. And Nigerian. Hey, isn’t this the guy who sends us all those damn emails all the time???

  2. Maybe not having a book or newspaper in your lap will prevent you hiding the explosives in your underwear that you are trying to ignite? Seems like yet another over the top effort to avoid profiling by making everyone else who isn’t trying to blow planes up suffer.

  3. He suggested the U.S. authorities should have been warned about the British ban, which was issued last May, saying he ‘doubted’ there had been any ‘hiccup’ in procedures.
‘If you are on our watch list then you do not come into this country. You can come through this country if you are in transit to another country but you cannot come into this country,’ Mr Johnson said.

Just shows how much Postman Pat knows about the system the Home Office uses. You would think the man at the top might actually find out how things in his organisation work. I can tell you for a fact that UK Immigration do not routinely share intelligence with the US authorities because the US has a freedom of information act. This is outside of the remit of the UK Official Secrets Act. Any “secret” information passed to the US could be freely given away without approval from the UK. I have often had cases come across my desk which would have been of interest to the US but was unable to share that information with them because of this. Ironically it doesn’t apply to “our friends” in the EU countries like Bulgaria and Romania!

  4. The revelation will increase incredulity that the 23-year-old, who was also on a U.S. watch list, was not stopped before he boarded the Amsterdam-Detroit flight on Christmas Day.

This is bullshit as well. A watch list is different from a no fly list. Plenty of people are on watch lists but this doesn’t prevent them getting on an aeroplane it just stops them being allowed entry at the other end. If they self detonate in the meantime a watch list isn’t a lot of use.

  5. Well gents, at least you will be allowed to keep your knickers on during the flight.
