  1. Agreed, but I would rather have a 12 bore to hand than a kid’s football helmet. Still he did a good job notwithstanding. Had this been in England he would be in a cell charged with assaulting the would be burglar.

  3. Skipper, you’ve got it right - mindset is 90% of self defense.  A 45 ACP is actually my weapon of choice, but if your head is right, almost anything will do.

  4. Do they have Castle Doctrine in PA? If not then this guy could be in serious trouble. He had time to be alerted to the situation, leave the house to retrieve a weapon, re-enter the home and plan an assault. His own words show that he applied excessive force to the intruder. And since the would-be burglar wasn’t actually in the house yet, it could make matters much worse. Attempted murder as a reaction to simple tresspass perhaps?

    Personally I think he did the right thing. But we really do live in a strange world, so I expect him to be arrested, or at least sued. I guess folks didn’t learn the Bernie Getz lesson after all. Put the gremlin down then walk away.

This would get my goverment in a right fucked up state, ban crash helmets? yes no yes no . oh hang on, our FOOTBALL players dont wear them, he would have got a good dose of perfume to the eyes, which they do wear. a shit load of money, crap player, but smells nice, there are some smells that just cant be covered up though, (take note my French friend) where is my L A Raiders helmet when i need it gulp
