I’m from Flori-duh I demand a recount…
On a more serious note…
My heart goes out to Allan and his family. Watch yourself out there guy and hang in there.
Vilmar kids you not, the aftermath can be just as deadly as the storm. Clean up take weeks to months.
Here in Gainesville where Frances blew through as a not so powerful tropical storm we had 4 storm related fatalities. We still have flooding, some are still with out power, boiled water orders are still in effect in some areas, the debris is still piled up waiting for disposal.
Now imagine that ten/twenty fold for those in Ivan’s wake. These poor souls are just getting started.
Hubby called last night, he’s at NATTC Corry Island. They’re being told that they should be back in their barracks building by the end of this week. No word on when classes will resume as the classroom building took on quite a bit of damage itself.
A continuously updated list of stuff can be found at http://pensacolanewsjournal.com.
Prayers continue for all who suffered in the path of Ivan.
Severa, glad to read hubby is OK. I’m sure that instead of classes they will keep him busy doing clean-up. YUCK!
