  1. Yeah and this week the ‘born’ gay crowd got a real bash as there is no ‘gay’ gene. It is a choice - as a sober alcoholic I know, I took that first drink and kept going as I sank deeper and deeper into the gutter. It was my choice and my fault. And it was Me who woke up one day [actually a very silly event, went to watch Wheel of Fortune with a neighbor, and the next day her daughter brought in a case of beer - when asked why the daughter said, because you both drank the one I bought yesterday last night - I was shocked that I’d downed that much in a measly half hour] I went sober that day - went 4 years before I had another drink - it can be done.

I don’t care about people who take what they’ve been given (oh say a healthy body [I have fought every day to do what most people take for granted], a free (albeit lousy) education, living in a country where even the poorest have running water & tvs) and piss it all away in a ‘pity’ me party.

Get up, dust yourself off and go kick some ass - become a freakin billionaire - baby that is the way to ‘get back’ at each and every person who s**** on you. Look at O[prah] - you don’t think that the idiot relative who raped her at 14 isn’t sick to death in his own little hovel of life to see what his own selfish terror created. And that she does not know her personal refusal to give into that ‘oh, please pity me’ crappola doesn’t make her happy as a clam (a very, very rich clam at that)?

I hate bleeding heart liberals - they are the enablers of poverty, stupidity, vapidness and helplessness and should be shot on sight.

  2. Damn right. Sticking a dirty needle in your arm in a public toilet is a CHOICE. And you can’t ask the stiff if he was depressed, disillusioned, or any of that touchy-feely stuff, cuz he’s dead. Maybe he just wanted to get really high, and blew it.

  3. Been a drug addict, thanks. Been depressed, disillusioned, etc.

And no, the differences between them and us is not luck. It’s the difference between good and bad choices, and will.

The airborne lieutenant with no legs who walked on stage with Gen. Petraeus the other day made choices that resulted in the loss of his legs. Could it have been any of us? Well yeah, among this group it probably could have, we’re the kind of idiots who volunteer to go across the world and take the heat for the civilians back home.

Could any of us have come back from a coma to walk again? Doubtful. That takes a strength of will that most of us don’t have, nor do many of us want it bad enough to go through the pain of learning that kind of will.

To claim that the only difference between a dead junkie and any of us is luck is not only blatantly, obviously untrue, it’s highly insulting. For myself that doesn’t bother me much, getting insulted by a brainless lib is such a part of my daily life I barely notice.

But it’s a much more pointed insult to that lieutenant.... to Stephen Hawking… in fact to everyone who has ever “been dealt a bad hand” and excelled anyway. Ms. Helen Jones, the people your imposing stupidity disrespects most are the very people whose boots you are least worthy to shine.
