Yeah. If the various governments around the United States were serious about reducing crime, they would pay attention to this sort of thing. Criminals are much more afraid of citizens with guns than cops with guns. Having someone point a loaded shotgun - or any real weapon - at one is very discouraging. Very.
Not to mention the odds are better of a homeowner being in a position to thwart a burglary than a police officer. Not a criticism, just an observation of how the world really works.

Tragically this does not fit the liberal whinners criteria for ‘news’ as no one (particularly a minority at the hands of a white male) got killed. However, it is reality, in the real World.
In a similar tact - but a little OT - I am not a real movie person - got tired of spending a lot of money and being disappointed. Rented a movie (actually went to one of the places that I hold a card)as I knew what I wanted would not be in the new ‘box’ rental ($1/nite) I use. Rent Das Leben der Anderen (The Lives of Others) - about the GDR, the Stasi and well rather than give the whole story away - the reality of being - not free.
Even though it won the Oscar (Best Foreign Film) the msm, liberal Hollyweird et al - won’t tout it at all - because it exposes the failures, dangers and utter vileness of - well rather than give the whole story away - the reality of being - not free.
Buy another gun, stock up on ammo and then rent this film and get a vision of what is ahead for America - if the Goddess of the (Socialist) World is elect as POTUS in 2008.

Highly irregular! Did that gun-toting crazy ask these men what they were doing? They might have been seeking first aid supplies, or looking for other kinds of help!
Goodness, me! He could have killed those men! What if he had tripped? Guns go off when they fall on the ground, after all. He might have really frightened them! Did he have a proper permit? It seems he got the gun pretty fast, so obviously he did not have it properly locked away with the bullets stored in a separate locked container!
I call on the ACLU to investigate! These two poor men should testify against the gun nut! Power to the people, if that’s ok with the appropriate state organs.
