  1. The question should never have been asked as that is a direct violation of church and state, with her as an agent of said government.Even though there is no actual impediment to the state displaying religious symbolism,no matter what the ACLU says, the state should not discuss existential ideas with 12 year olds. Kids may ask and teachers should defer to ministers, imams or rabbli’s out of respect. She should have left that question on the cutting room floor.
The Founders wanted and enjoined All the states to accept a Secular Fed so ,especially in foreign policy we would not be seen as representing any specific godview in our dealings with what We now know are Inferior primative Cultures. We would be Neutral.
Also the Founders had had Enough of the king and his Church and wanted no part of a FEDERAL BRANCH OF ROME so to speak.
Sadly it’s all falling apart as we now apologize for our western thinking and allow the primitives to claim dominion over existential thought.
As to personal beliefs, whatever floats your boat but stay the hell out of my Tub.
    peace
