i’m not sure if you are taking a poll or if that was rhetorical ... just in case, i care
Actually Rick, I was interested in seeing if anyone around here still had any interest. Americans just don’t seem to have taken to the game. There didn’t seem to be much interest even before the US team was eliminated.
I have tried to stir up a little interest this year with no success whatsoever. I am glad that at least one person (other than me) cares.
The games have been fun to watch and the sideshow with the Brits drinking up all the beer in Germany has been hilarious.
I used to care but now its all girly men, big money and Ruskie gangsters (eh wot Bulldog?) I couldn’t give a toss who wins. As you say Skipper some amusing sideshows of British louts egging on the evil Bosch with their bomber taunts etc. but other than that I can’t work up much interest.
I like soccer. I like the fans tossing bananas at the black players. And the drunken riots. And the beatings of fans, vendors, police and the public before, during and after the games. And murdering officals for making unpopular calls. And killing and torturing players for failing to win crucial games. Hell, I love soccer.
I just hope i dont feel the same way as you lot after saturday,
Who cares?
Not me, chief—but rudebadger makes some good points—so I’ll rethink ............nope, “My Give-a-Damn’s Busted”.
I care, and I am sick of the refs buying the cheap play of certain teams (ie- Italy’s dive to win on a penalty kick and the Ghana dive to put them up 1-0 v. the USA earlier as prime examples).
My hope is for Brasil to win the Sixth! RUMO AO HEXA!!!!!! ******
