  1. In the comments, doubts are expressed concerning the story’s veracity.  I wish it were true, but there are too many holes. and I think it’s a hoax.

  2. The only holes are in the illegal home invading aliens!

  3. Don’t know for sure, but after looking around on the net, this story is heavily referenced.  Most refer to NRA files as of November, 2006.

Home invasion gone wrong for criminals.

Two illegal aliens, Ralphel Resindez 23 and Enrico Garza 26, probably believed they would easily overpower a home alone 11 year old Patricia Harrington after her father had left their two story home.

It seems the two crooks never learned two things, they were in Montana and Patricia had been a clay shooting champion since she was nine. Patricia was in her upstairs room when the two men broke through the front door of the house. She quickly ran to her father’s room and grabbed his 12 gauge Mossberg 500 shotgun.

Resindez was the first to get up to the second floor only to be the first to catch a near point blank blast of buck shot from the 11 year olds knee crouch aim. He suffered fatal wounds to his abdomen and genitals. When Garza ran to the foot of the stairs, he took a blast to the left shoulder and staggered out into the street where he bled to death before medical help could arrive.

It was found out later that Resindez was armed with a stolen 45 caliber handgun he took from another home invasion robbery. The victim, 50 year old David Burien, was not so lucky as he died from stab wounds to the chest.

  4. Sounds like a righteous shooting to me.  Two less trolls to worry about.

    Patricia is officially a sheepdog!!

  5. No google hits on newspaper archives, every instance found has exact same words, no Burien listed anywhere in Montana, no Burien in Social Security death index. Nice story, but probably an urban legend.

  7. I was stationed at Malmstrom AFB, Montana in the early 90’s.  During that time, two males from North Dakota ran a family from Maryland, traveling through Montana, off the road.  The thugs then robbed the family and shot up their car.  The lowlife were caught, tried, convicted, and sentenced in Great Falls.  The judge, upon pronouncing sentence of 20 years, told the scumbags, “”You’re lucky you chose an out-of-state family to rob and shoot.  If it had been a Montana family, most of us, including me, carry firearms and shoot back.”.  This was shown on the local TV news in Great Falls.  I loved being in Montana.

The bad thing about this whole ordeal, an 11 year of girl has to live the rest of her life with the knowledge that she shot and killed two people.  Even though it was a righteous and justified shooting, it’s still going to take its toll on that young lady.

  9. Ouch, that just had to hurt.

Illegal aliens attempting to commit rapes that Americans won’t.

  11. Peiper, she was only 11 when she shot those men.  Look at our soldiers and marines, grown men, who suffer Post Tramatic Stress Disorder after returning from combat.  Many GI’s have trouble because of the killing they’ve done.  Many police officers never go back to the streets after they’ve killed a criminal in the line of duty.  It may be a false story but, in Montana, many children of that age know how to use firearms.

  12. If its true and I believe it is, she only has 11,999,998 shells to go. Good work.  Thank God the 2nd amendment

  13. If this were true and recent, you can bet this #$@^^%&^!! government would be prosecuting her or her family for something if for no other reason than to send the same message they sent the Border Patrol: don’t mess with the Mexicans, we (the Feds)love them more than we do you filthy white Gabachos.
