1. I’m thinking that maybe housing captured Taliban with regular criminals in the same prison was a mistake. But then, what are the political ramifications of constructing POW camps for terrorists? Would that grant them Geneva Convention protections?

   Taliban, and other terrorists, should be interrogated, under torture if necessary, and then shot. They should be treated as spies are during war.

2. My daughter’s hubby is caught up in this little bit of disaster - the Marines KIA/WIA are from his unit/duty station. This has been a long hard weekend (his Mom called my daughter more than 40 times [in one day]) for the Marines and their loved ones from 29 Palms. . .The communications will start to open up as confirmation of notifications are made - so more info will get out.

   I seriously think (especially since GWB asked for OBL’s head) - that this is just part of the last ditch effort to keep al-Qaeda terrorism alive and well in the World. . .so it will be bloody before the end arrives.
