  1. How do you say “up in the air, junior birdmen” in arabic?

    That isn’t much of an airplane. Even if these guys are up to the ISR task, they can’t do anything about stopping any insurgents they find other than radio it in. Maybe we could find them a couple Sandys or something. At least they’d then be able to act like a real air force, a little. This reads more like a Civil Air Patrol than an actual airforce. Can’t we trust them?

    What happened to all the pilots they used to have? I don’t remember hearing about any being shot down this last time around, and I do recall that quite a lot of them skedaddled over to Iran the first time. Are they all unreconstructed baathists and thus unusable, or are they all now driving taxis in New York City?

  2. Giving them F16’s in exchange for oil sounds like a plan. I would also arm the police/military with M16’s. Then anyone caught with a Kalashnikov would be shot on sight as a terrorist.
