...and I’m noticing the fluid dripping from the wheel. A lot of aircraft flew in some pretty strange conditions back then. Those babes had major balls. Weird to think that they are my mother’s generation.

I recognize the need for discipline training. Don’t make any difference.
Not to make anyone feel old, but its hard for me to realize that was my GRANDMOTHER’S generation. My Grandma didn’t fly ‘em, but she built ‘em!!! She was a wing riviter for B17s, God rest her soul. I am so thankful, that as I got older, I was persistent in asking her about that time. She had some great stories to tell.
They were of my Parent’s generation (I’m the same age as The Skipper).

As much as I love men, they are a major pain in the butt to work with
I grew up in West Texas and therfore have been familiar with thier story for most of my life. I have to tell you there are other photos of these gals. This is the least flattering. Some of these ladies were just plain HOT!!!!
And now women fly in combat. I helped analyze hoe the Marines train Harrier pilots, and two in the RAG squadron were women. I observed one class where a woman Major was part of the class. They had just sat through some Computer-Based Training. The instructor asked them what they thought of it. The guys all hemmed and hawwed and looked a the ceiling. The woman piped up, “That was the biggest bunch of shit I ever saw, Sir!”
Well, any woman who makes it into a combat arm of the Marines MUST have bigger balls than a lot of the men who do so.
