I’m all for shutting the Senate down. I know that my guns, wallet, healthcare, and other assorted freedoms will be safe for a short time.
But you’ve nailed the problem: Why do we keep re-electing these moonbat Senators?
It’s all because of the 17th Amendment. Prior to the adoption of the 17th Amendment the Senators were appointed by the state legislatures.
Since the 17th Amendment was adopted we’ve had effectively two Houses of Representatives. If you recall, originally the House represented the People, and the Senate represented the States. Now, both Houses represent the People, and therefore are influenced by public opinion.
Repeal the 17th Amendment.
While we’re at it, let’s repeal the 16th, 19th, and 26th Amendments.
In hindsight, nothing good has come from adopting these.
