  1. This is scary stuff. It is bad enough that so many programs are being inflated (hello - illegal aliens) beyond sustainability but now The One (tm) is just piling it on at a massive rate.

I do not believe that the Kennedy Free (wink, wink) Healthcare for All, Illegals First bill is going to pass - there are too many poison thorns (government funded abortions, healthcare for illegals, opt out for the Klownposse in DC) that they can’t ram it through.

First and foremost for all of the Klownposse in DC is getting re-elected - and this will be the straw. You can’t garner all those great perks if you are kicked off the reservation. And they know it. They went home after C(r)ap and Trade(off) and got the crap beat out of them - they aren’t about to do it again.

Second - the majority of Americans are ok with what insurance/healthcare (61% last I checked) they had - and of course the breakdown of the 47 million uninsured is such a bogus talking point. But more than that the majority (probably around 80% or higher) do not want Uncle Obama to run their healthcare - at all.

And lastly - rather than do that voodoo that they do so well - and plot and plan - The One (tm) is on a rampage and going to shove it through NOW. And it will fail. Again.

People are so blind - the government and it’s worker strong arm (the Unions) forced businesses to provide healthcare but it was no longer portable so you remained tied to that business until retirement or you lost your benefits - then that wasn’t enough - so government stepped in with a zillion stupid regulations for both insurance and healthcare that mucked up all the systems until wa la - We Need Universal/National Healthcare NOW.
As if government will now fix the mess they created - DMV anyone? Not likely at all. Ever.

September 12, 2009 should be a hoot - I am attempting to go - hubby balking - but maybe I can find someone else (been invited by two groups I belong to, might have to swallow my pride and go with the one group - more expensive and I hate taking the ‘bus’ but it will get me there) We Shall See and I know God will provide. More and more Groups are joining on - this will be a biggy and it will really show the Klownposse in DC and the Thug Administration how America really feels about them.

  2. My bad -’The most recent ABC News/Washington Post poll (June 21) finds that 83 percent of Americans are very satisfied or somewhat satisfied with the quality of their health care, and 81 percent are similarly satisfied with their health insurance’- So even my estimate (it was a poll I read somewhere) is wrong and extremely low.

The One (tm) is going to attempt to push this obamanation through even though 81 to 83% of Americans are satisfied with what they have - since when does that even begin to resemble the American Way of doing things? At All.

    good companion piece -

  3. I can only wonder about that 80% populus of polsters, and where they came from, that are pleased with health insurance today.  That seems more likely to be the bogus talking point.

Really Wardmama… and what do you have to loose if the USA can come up with a national health plan?  The union workers that I used to talk to had union insurance and they kept it as long as they were union workers, granted that was some time ago.

  4. Really Wardmama… and what do you have to loose if the USA can come up with a national health plan

Actually late - I already to have government health care - it is substandard, slow, inefficient, out-of-date, reticent to change, massively overwhelmed with paperwork, inhumane, crowded out by freeloaders who want 1)an excuse to miss work, 2) an excuse to have the car 3) or possible sedative medication for dosing out their children - to the point that people with real sick children are 1) exposing non-sick children to diseases and/or are forced to use the ER as the non-sick are crowding up the clinic, the doctors range from great (few) to terrible (most), the clinics are slow, mistake prone and inhumane, getting any type of secondary medical tests unless you bleeding and/or dying is a wait of dangerous length and the record keeping is a joke - not to mention that Uncle Obama, Eugenics lover Holdren and the Big Brother controllers of the Nanny State would be able to determine who gets treatment and who doesn’t.

Besides - and this is the most important - in the America I know and love - whether I have Health Insurance or NOT is my own damn business.

Perhaps if we 1) weren’t allowing every single illegal alien to obtain health care at everyone’s expense, 2) weren’t allowing insurance companies to hold a monopoly on each and every state but rather compete Nationally - their rates would become competitive, 3) limit lawsuits to real medical malpractice and require the AMA to actually remove proven bad doctors from practicing anywhere (right now they can just pick up and move across state lines), 4) allow the young to maybe just purchase catastrophic coverage - the costs would be more manageable. But how dare anyone force everyone for 6% of the American population into a political scam to control behaviors and invade private health and medical decisions.

And I can’t believe that you even could consider for a second that it is a good idea.

This may be part of the complicated problem with health care, I am not a professional on the matter, just know what can happen when health care does not work the way it should… and this is why I believe that there is certainly a better way than what we currently have.

  6. Here’s something to think about on the subject. Modern day Robber Barons. I thought they were the hospitals and the ins. companies. For awhile. And I do know hospitals are.
    But doctors don’t help either.
Years and years ago I was in a cousins office helping out and clearing files. Gosh do I wish I had those papers here in front of me now.

My cousin once was in real estate. Not just any real estate. Oh no. She was a former surgical nurse, and she specialized in doctors practices. Not just the buildings altho there were a few of those.

I was amazed to see how few hours so many successful doctors put in, for the literally hundreds of thousands of dollars they were raking in. In some cases, millions.
    I saw things that said , GP ... 14 hrs a week, $300,000.00.
Some offices only worked 14 hours in a month. It’s been so long I just can’t recall who got what but I can tell you if you were to see the figures I did, you’d see why health care can be so high. Least ways it was in So.Calif.
I’m not against folks making what they can. But gee. The sums were staggering.
