When gun owners attack … each other

  1. This is what has been wrought on America since - well most especially since WJC and his ‘impeachment over sex which is personal and really depends on what the definition of is is’ - distortion of truth, reality, the meaning of words. Of course it was the beginning of transferring the wrong done by one person (of a particular political party) unto the right done by one person (of the other particular political party) - intentionally and with malice (and usually profanity and personal attacks) that continued to escalate and go crazy since Nov 8, 2000 - after ‘selected, not elected’ became the mantra of the left.

It was a promotional shot - and as such - Oh, well. Living with a gun rule nut - I do however understand the overblown trounsing of Ms Bruce. The type of people that the gun rule nut crowds worry about - probably never, ever would see the picture - so how can they be corrupted or lead astray?

It goes to the heart of gun laws and bans - wake up America - the people who are the problem with gun killings - don’t obey many, if any laws/bans and also don’t read the rules/laws/bans, watch the news or read informative websites (most especially those with words rather than pictures). They don’t (almost never) go into gun stores or even gun shows to purchase their firearms - so that is why gun laws/bans don’t work at all - except to increase gun deaths - because the guns only end up in the hands of those who aren’t law abiding at all, ever.

  2. I’ll grant you, if I was gonna physically be around someone treating a firearm like that, I’d want to *personally make sure* the chambers were empty, and wouldn’t feel comfortable until the trigger had some kind of chock behind it. Yes, even for a photo shoot. But then maybe I’m paranoid.
Perhaps it’s because when I was 7, my Dad showed one of his .22’s to the state trooper who lived next door. Yes, he kept it loaded at all times, and all of us kids knew it. I guess it never occurred to him that he might have to warn a *state trooper* to treat it like it’s loaded. All I know is that a few seconds later a .22 slug came through the floor of the upstairs room where I was playing, maybe 5 - 6 feet away.
So, um, yeah, when a gun is gonna be used as a prop, I’d personally like to be sure it CANNOT fire. But then, since I wasn’t in range when the pic was taken, I don’t really see why I should give a rat’s ass. True, kids and others could get the wrong idea looking at it. But that’s why you never teach anything important just by letting people look at pictures, either. People learn from bad examples just as quickly and effectively as good ones.
