What Democrats Really Stand For

  1. I am ashamed to admit it here, but I actually watch The Daily Show. I paid good money to go see Lewis Black a couple of weeks ago. They are liberals, but they are funny. I saw the show with Soderberg on it, and he really would rather see things go to Hell in a handbasket, than have anything good happen for the Republicans.

  2. Send her to “cheese making, surrender land” to live with her Fwench allies.

  3. "so like, um you know… Bush is baaaaad. and like you know, um - he like LIED, and like all these poor Iraqi’s are like um, dead because of it - and um. like now, there’s all these terrorists over there and like um, they HATE us now, and um, like that’s really baaaad. You know - I really want them to like us, you know.”

  4. I used to watch the Daily Show, and I think Stewart is funny.  Seen him in some other interviews, too, and he does not come off like a vicious liberal.  He seems to be getting it.  This other hack just needs to have his brakes mysteriously go out at a most inoportune time…

Dissent, party power, etc. - I’m all for it.  But I draw the line when any group or individual seeks to advance their own agenda with no regard for how it may ultimately weaken the nation.  I am always shocked at the liberals who feel guilty about the US having so much power; about being NUMBER ONE.  And how their narcissism brings them to the point of sedition just so they can feeeel better.  They just don’t seem to understand that there is always going to be a “king of the hill, A-number-one,” and it may as well be us.  If not the US, it could be much, much worse for everybody.

Liberals would rather life be like a popularity contest, to be liked.  I would much rather be feared than liked in most matters of foreign policy.

  5. STEWART: “...if they had just come out at the very beginning and said, ‘Here’s my plan: I’m going to invade Iraq. We’ll get rid of a bad guy because that will drain the swamp’ --if they hadn’t done the whole ‘nuclear cloud’, you know, if they hadn’t scared the pants off of everybody, and just said straight up, honestly, what was going on...”

I just contacted THE DAILY SHOW via their site to “educate” Jon-Boy. You see, MY President DID “just come out at the very beginning and said” (in his 9-12-02 UN address) the following (VERBATIM):
If all these steps [disclose WMD, end citizen persecution, end support for suicide bombers, end illicit trade outside of “oil for food"] are taken, it will signal a new openness and accountability in Iraq. And it could open the prospect of the United Nations helping to build a government that represents all Iraqis—a government based on respect for human rights, economic liberty and internationally supervised elections
The United States has no quarrel with the Iraqi people, who have suffered for too long in silent captivity. Liberty for the Iraqi people is a great moral cause and a great strategic goal. The people of Iraq deserve it and the security of all nations requires it. Free societies do not intimidate through cruelty and conquest and open societies do not threaten the world with mass murder. The United States supports political and economic liberty in a unified Iraq....
If we fail to act in the face of danger, the people of Iraq will continue to live in brutal submission. The regime will have new power to bully, dominate and conquer its neighbors, condemning the Middle East to more years of bloodshed and fear. The region will remain unstable, with little hope of freedom and isolated from the progress of our times.....
In the Middle East, there can be no peace for either side without freedom for both sides. America stands committed to an independent and democratic Palestine, living beside Israel in peace and security. Like all other people, Palestinians deserve a government that serves their interests and listens to their voices. My nation will continue to encourage all parties to step up to their responsibilities as we seek a just and comprehensive settlement to the conflict.
The people of Iraq can shake off their captivity. They can one day join a democratic Afghanistan and a democratic Palestine, inspiring reforms throughout the Muslim world.

Ergo, Jon, MY President’s vision went well beyond any WMD threat!  As I clearly recall, the moronic Barbara Boxer is also under some delusion that “It was all about WMD.” And one more thing while I have the world’s attention (BM is world-reknown, eh?): MY President is one of the most-honest current U.S. politicians.
    CASE CLOSED.

  6. Who was Stewart interviewing the day after the election?  Senator??  Anyhow, he hit the guy with:

Seems that the only states the Democrats won are the ones with TV studios.  Do you think this is the red states’ revenge for Will and Grace?

Hell of a lot of insight there.
