And when Obamacare goes through, and all the onus for health insurance is shifted to the government, do you really think that will stop the hiring prejudice against overweight people or smokers? I doubt it.
And should we ever, ever, EVER get past the unspoken quota system to give preferences to every skin tone and atypical gender alignment, do you ever think the prejudice against hiring hetero white guys with no disabilities will end? Someday maybe? How about hetero white guys who are overweight smokers with no other disabilities? Fat chance.
How about “record-ism”? When is the last time your company hired a person who had been in trouble with the law?
It’s no wonder companies don’t want to communicate with non-successful applicants, even just to confirm that the position has been filled.
