Wally World Wars

  1. If I was running Wal-mart, I would close every store in Maryland, offer to relocate the displaced workers to the state of their choice and add positions to other stores to make sure their jobs were intact in their new locations.  Make sure every one of these people has opportunity to tell people in their new locations exactly what Maryland did and what it means for them.

Of course the media will only report the “loss of jobs” in Maryland.  Maybe what Wal-mart needs to do is do what everyone says they are so good at...purchase newspapers and TV stations.  Then drive the liberal media out of business.

  2. For those of you who don’t know this, WakeupWalMart.com is run by the UFCW, one of the four unions who split from the AFL-CIO last year. They are responsible for shutting down Cub Foods’ operations in Michigan in 1991.
I know, because I worked at the one Cub Foods store which operated in Kalamazoo. They were beating the snot out of Meijer, so after a few tries, they got the store unionized. Three months later, Cub closed the store and to this day, have no stores in Michigan.

  3. "What is it about Wally World that just ticks off Liberals and Democrats so badly?”

Two words, Skip - unaided success.

Think about it, these kinds of stores are run by and for the common guy, the hoy paloy, the unwashed non-elite masses. To these lefty hacks, these people are cattle to be herded and milked for money and power.

  4. I hope Wal-Mart trucks out of the state and lets everyone in earshot *why*

  5. John C and gdonovan—MSNBC is reporting on Wal-Mart’s reconsideration of building a new distribution center in one of the poorest parts of MD:

The Washington Post, surprisingly enough, apparently saw this coming last April:

  6. Yet whenever any Wal-Mart makes a donation to its city’s organizations, the news never seems to make it past the local media.

  7. It’s embarrassing to be a citizen of Maryland, to put up with the socialist legislature on a daily basis and see countless Kerry bumper stickers to this day.

Believe it or not, our Republican Governor won 20 of 23 counties when he took the State House in 2002, but with the liberal cities of Baltimore and Washington, he barely won.

Small business is next, Maryland is so anti-business its no wonder why Wal-Mart is the only business in the entire state that employs over 10,000 people.

Excuse me while I go puke…

  8. There seems to be a fundamental inconsistency here.

The socialistas and associated slinking scum give Wal-Mart such a hard time....yet, Wal-Mart may be the single biggest marketing outlet for guess who?  Red China.....

    LOL

  9. Too true, Tann. It’s yet another example of the snake eating its own tail. Another example I’m always pointing out is the mystery of why the Left supports the side of the war which would put them to the sword after their victory.
