Something I pointed out to a liberal once, that I think scared the daylights out of him.
Yes, everyone knows that when I joined the military I, like everyone else, took the oath to defend the US against “all enemies foreign and domestic.” The phrase gets so repeated so often it’s near impossible for someone to know a military member and NOT know that.
What most don’t think about is that I don’t remember anything packaged in with my DD214 saying that oath was no longer valid, or that I was released from it.
As far as I’m concerned, I am under that oath until the day I die.
