Did I fall and bump my head, or did I read this correctly?
The British government released prisoners from custody (jail or prison) early; that is, prior to their official date of release. They were given a ‘break’, a ‘bonus’, a ‘favor’. Or whatever other term one may wish to use.
However, the released prisoners are being ‘compensated’ for the meals they aren’t going to get because they were released early? These people are getting paid for not eating prison food? Does the British government see incarceration as some form of contract?
Amazing. Like I often tell myself; the universe is gettng stranger as I watch.
Yeah, you read that right. Apparently, being sent to prison is regarded as a form of welfare. Three hots and a cot.
No Archie ... you weren’t dreamin odd things. That’s how it is.
Crazy huh?
With liberals in charge, all things are possible.
