  2. But, just fuck him so much regardless. Anyway, we must credit one thing he said, the refinery thing. Doesn’t help much that we keep having drilling blocked, so that even if we DID have refineries we’d have nothing to process in them. But yeah, we need nuke plants, and we need refineries, and we need to freaking uncap the wells we’ve already got drilled to hold us until fresh holes can get dug! McCains VP ‘08!

  3. So here is the question - if the majority of (voting) American citizens work [thereby being financially affected by all this inertia, inaction, stupidity going on in government], is it simply because 1) the Congresscritters are in the pockets of special interests, lobbyists or anyone with a few million bucks to spare or 2) really desperate to have Americans beholden in all things unto government? Thereby in either case they are not truly being Representative of the People/their constituents. . .And then it follows - how do we stop them?

Obamanation and Webb - plus the fact that came out, the biggest porkers were the Freshman - show that being ‘new’, ‘fresh’ and a ‘change’ - means even bigger, porkier, invasive government (I wonder why people are not pounding Webb with his hypocrisy on gun bans - oh yeah it was his lacky who got busted, my bad). And from what I hear Term Limits aren’t going to happen (even though the Congresscritters enacted them upon the POTUS) -

So I guess the real question is - How do we solve our Government Gone Wild problem? Is it really going to take an armed revolution to Stop The Insanity?

  4. Entirely possible wardmama4. Things didn’t start getting so similar to the government we left until about 150 years in. The kingdoms started to arise in the late first third/early half mark of last century. By the time we were aware, it had started to entrench. I remember America of the LATE ‘50s/early ‘60s. It didn’t get really insane until the late ‘60s/early ‘70s. By which time those who had truly known freedom were pretty much fading out. They fed it in until it was powerful enough to be undefeatable. Then it became daily existence. Nobody knew any better, so they won through attrition. Brainwashing the children worked well. Oh yeah, the CCCP knew their stuff.
