   My favorite Texas gag was laid on me by a (sadly late) very good and close friend who was so proud of her Texas heritage, she often dressed the part. especially when she came to Nashville during what was once Fan Fair. (is it still?) Anyway, Grace was always bragging about that state like nobody else existed. So I once said to her, yeah but heck Gracie, you guys stole it to begin with, didn’t ya? She said yes but ..
   “We stole it fair and square.” Said it with a perfectly straight face. Gosh how she loved Texas. Never forget that lady.
