I tend to agree with emdfl.
I keep seeing these stories about travelers usurping other people’s property and belongings, and nothing being done. If the the government and courts, for whatever reason, don’t take action, why don’t the citizens? Is it fear of retaliation, fear of getting caught, an over-exaggerated respect for the law, or something else?
All I know is that if I went on vacation and returned to find a bunch of scum had taken over my home and were trashing it, along with my possessions, there would be some sort of guerrilla warfare campaign unleashed.
