  1. Drew, Easy Scotch Eggs… hard boiled egg encased in sausage meat which is covered in bread crumbs and deep fried.  Usually on hand in pubs. It’s a popular picnic item.

Hey off topic question. Suddenly and for no reason I can find, these comment boxes are defaulting to full windows size. ????  I haven’t changed any settings I’m aware of.
    Any idea what’s happening?

  2. How about some ‘eggy’ dessert? From Sunset Books - 7 Ingredients or less: Salzburger Nokerin

    1 oz semi-sweet chocolate, shaved
    4 eggs separated
    1/4 cup sugar
    4 teaspoons flour
    1 tablespoon butter

    1. Beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Add sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
    2. In separate bowl, beat egg yolks until foamy. Slowly add flour and beat until thick.
    3. In oval ovenproof dish, melt butter.
    4. Fold egg yolk mixture into egg whites. Mound in 6 equal mounds in dish.
    5. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes, until brown. Remove from oven and top with chocolate shavings.
Warning: Does seem to be more appreciated by women (luncheons) than men.

But hey, eggs and chocolate - what is wrong with that.

  3. Toad in a hole.. Made it for roommate last week. Cook bacon, start frying egg in bacon, take bread with hole cut in it (I use a small mushroom can)put it on frying egg, then flip and fry for 60 to 90 seconds. Tasty and you get toast to dip in yolk.

Next entry: if those old slave traders could have seen today, would they still?
