1. Looks like the count is now up to 24 confirmed dead Taliban militants. That kill rate percentage is climbing. The Taliban won’t be able to sustain a +30% attrition rate very long.

   Is it me or does this attack seem like desparation? They have lost a lot of leadership of late and maybe it’s starting to show.

2. The low kill count can only be explained one way. Its darn hard to aim a rifle when you are falling down punch drunk with laughter.

3. They bring sticks, we bring airplanes.  Sounds like a good show.

   Would be even better with JDAM’s, fuel-air bombs and maybe a sprinkling of tactical nukes
   all coated in bacon grease to make the picnic complete!

5. yes Peiper, much too tightly restricted.  In war, we put aside almost all civilized behavior.  To behave otherwise in a combat situation is what I call Terminal Stupidity.  Those displaying Terminal Stupidity are frequently candidates for the Darwin Award.

6. Something doesn’t sound right - the spokesperson is saying decimated - but the the ‘claim’ is 20 out of 75 dead. Someone isn’t telling the truth, let’s see Associated (with terrorists) Press or a Coalition spokesperson? Taliban or US Soldiers? Hmmmm, whom shall I believe? And if the cheerful bit of news is that another quarter to half of those 55 ‘attackers’ are wounded - that might just make the spokesperson’s statement more believable and our coalition soldiers performance more real - but leave it to the AP not to tell the real story. Ever.
