  4. Yes...When will the liberals, democrats, MSM, envirowhackos and other leftists finally realize that they are as big a target as anyone else?

Answer: In the final seconds before the bomb hits with not even enough time to say their prayers.  Too late to do something about it at that point.

  7. OCM: Nuke-u-lar tipped ballistic missiles, counterfeiting our currency, drug manufacture and exporting, terrorist training and incitement—where’s our self-interest?

  8. OCM: Remember The Skipper’s ‘Armageddon Scenario”?

Now try it, not with nukes, but with NO OIL --NO transportation, NO heating, NO electricity.  NO way to haul food to our dark, freezing, riot-torn cities.  Mass starvation. Anyone who doesn’t think oil is worth fighting for should sue every school they ever attended.

  10. Very intriguing, Skipper.  Somewhat cool, somewhat calculating, a little aloof, maybe even a little complacent and slothful, but at heart, a rank sentimentalist??

    surprised

  11. As for the topic in hand, North Korea is in the position of a yapping puppy on Red China’s front doorstep.  It has always been, and it remains, a Chicomm client state.  If Red China did not want it to yap, it would not be out there.  Its leadership may be senile, but not senile enough to misinterpret the Chicomm leash, or the millions of Chicomm guns across the Yalu.  Their every move has Chicomm approval, and possibly Chicomm prodding, or they do not move.  Pyongyang’s yap is Beijing’s yap.

While the Iranian leadership wallow in religious fanaticism flavored by paranoia, they too are not free agents.  Ivan and the Chicomms are heavily invested in Teheran, and where those two offer carrots, they also bring sticks.  Iran accepted their carrots; now, Iran answers to their sticks.

Much has been said of how Ivan and the Chicomms have been maneuvering diligently to keep Iran’s “case” from “coming up before the UN.” Of course.  The rotten heart of Iranian islamo-fascism is certainly in Iran’s work--but it is also the work of a client and a stooge, work in which Ivan and the Chicomms have invested, and work at their behest.

    hmmm

  17. I imagine the DU, KOS and the related whackadoodle sites would respond by pointing out that this situation did not exist when Bushitler took over Amerika, therefore it is Chimpy’s fault that it exists now.

Be like blaming FDR for Hitler’s rise, I guess, but context. perspective and common sense are not strong points for those howlers.

  19. Cat, I am forced to strike out on this one.

The international tangles of corporations, cartels, subsidiaries, patent agreements, licensing agreements, etc. are all beyond me.

Trying to make sense of them reminds me of trying to work a huge jigsaw puzzle while blindfolded.  I have no doubt that nearly every major player on the American business scene did business, in one respect or another, with his German counterparts during the Nazi regime, whether he wanted to or not, for it seems logically unavoidable.

I once tried to digest a book on the I.G. Farben chemical trust (Joseph Borkin, The Crime and Punishment of I.G. Farben, New York, Barnes & Noble, 1997).  It contained many references to multiple highly-placed American business figures and politicians, including Robert Kennedy and John Foster Dulles.  This book (and the bibliography it includes) may be of help.  But I must confess that to me, it was mostly a bewildering confusion of names, names, names, and more names.

Joseph Kennedy was U.S. Ambassador in London during the darkest period of the war, and he was known for taking a dark view of Britain’s chances against the Reich.  I think he once gave the British “three weeks and then out” before the Battle of Britain commenced.  The extent of his business ties to the Reich, however (if any) are unknown to me.  Maybe our British colleagues here can provide better answers.

Wish I could help more.  Maybe next time.

    wink
