The battle at Tours (or Poiters) is noted by Chris and Ted Stewart as one of the “Seven Tipping Points That Saved the World” in their Miracle of Freedom follow up book.
Charles Martel, literally, Charles the Hammer, was also father to Pepin the Short and grandfather to Charlemagne.
The above book is short and a good read.
