Very nice. God bless ‘em, every one. Looks like a few aid workers or tourists got in to the service that night too. All are welcome! Is that the entire Christian population of that country by chance?
An endangered species in the Muslim world...so sad. Lord God, protect them all with your Mighty Hand!
Did anyone notice that NONE of these parishioners looks very happy? I wonder why?
Because they probably have to wear burkhas in order to be granted another day of life by the ROP representatives.
Many years ago one of my (hopelessly liberal) aunts was one of those aid workers over in Pakistan. Even then, she described the country as being “that part of the earth, where one would insert the tube, if one were to give the world an enema”.
I’ve heard a similar description of one other place, and that is Ouagadougu, the capital city of Burkina Faso, formerly known as Upper Volta. Friend of mine was in “diplomatic” capacity over there, and he was a bit more direct, calling it the “azzhole of the world”...
She’d go over there for several months every year, and for quite a few consecutive years. She’s too old now, and has some health issues, for going there now, but still wishes that she could go, even in these dangerous times.
