2. Wait till you read Pratchett’s The Last Continent, where you’ll learn that the people of Fourecks (XXXX, like the beer) have an even better system - they elect their leaders and send them directly to jail. It saves time in the long run.

   Last Continent is a great read that makes fun of Australia, especially their odd phrases and town names. My favorite town there is “Didjabringabeeralong”.

3. I actually got started on Pratchett because of usenet. I downloaded some audiobooks of his works. I was hooked with The Colour of Magic. (wish the Brits would learn to spell, ‘colour’ gives my spellchecker fits) Rincewind and The Luggage. Hah! I know some of you know usenet because one of you put me on to ijsklontje, which is a disgusting newsgroup that no one should ever download from. Just don’t do it. Don’t!

   This has made me start buying the books because I want it in print. There’s just too many pithy little passages that cry out for quotation.
