Thanks Christopher - This is just what I needed. Wow - makes me want to go back to Army Posts again, miss it much - it is a whole other world - where they remember exactly what Patriotism, America and the Constitution are about.
And Obama is too damn busy giving a ‘shout out’ to even care.
God Help America. And prayers for comfort to all the families of the dead & wounded, to the wounded soldiers and to those survivors left behind who must now deploy with horror and pain in their hearts and minds.
Just got back from my volunteer duty at my local VA.
I do ‘hospice’ duty. Not too strenuous, but usually fulfilling. Mostly I wheel patients out for a smoke, and we trade blatant falsehoods, and I wheel them back to their rooms.
To be honest, I tell flagrantly inflated tales of my adventures; I’m sure these old Korean and Vietnam vets are telling the truth.
Then, one will ask if I play chess, and I acknowledge that I know how a knight moves, and I know the rules for en passant. I end up losing gracefully a hard-fought game. Some of these old warriors are still tough over the chessboard.

A friend of mine, who was recalled for the ‘War on Terror’, says that people like us bloggers are really doing a good job. We are keeping morale up. Something that the mainstream news isn’t doing.
