The New National Anthem

 

1. Sorry Christopher - but that is one of the biggest problems with America today - ‘I’ want to change it - make it fresh, new, progressive, hip, now - I think if the students of today were exposed to the Star Spangled Banner, the Pledge of Alligence and God Bless America more and more - and less Britany, American Idol and sex ed - we would not have the problems we have.

   Patriotism is not a bad thing. Anything can be bad (even love, food, religion, politics, or patriotism) if it is overdone or used as a weapon - moderation is the key. But completely eliminating something (Fairness Doctrine, PCness, so-called Separation of church and state - hey fiberals - the Constitution reads Freedom of Religion, not Freedom from Religion)is not a good thing, neither is vilifying it.

   I am sick and tired of watching people use foul words and insults to discuss the current state of affairs in America today and call itdebate, discussion and free speech. It is nothing more than foul words and insults - and when it is turned backward (unto them) they cry some ‘ism’ - and guess what - nothing has been accomplished, discussed nor debated at all.

   I love the song and actually Toby Keith is the epitome of a true Patriotic American - he does not support OIF but he sings supportive songs and does USO tours. That, dear fiberals, is what Supporting the Troops and Patriotism is all about.
