1. So did Alvin York (US Army) who went onto be awarded the Medal of Honor (although York later claimed he never attempted a conscientious objector status - maybe that was just a hollyweird construct). I don’t know if Desmond Doss (WWII, US Marine Corps) fought his drafting - but he went on to be awarded the Medal of Honor - and never carried a gun in combat (he was a medic).

   It’s like women - such as the suffragettes were extremely pro-life - the real history - is there, just hidden. Such a shame that agendas always trump reality.

   Like the X Files said - The truth is out there.
