  2. Senator Hagel (R-NE) is running for Prez in ‘08 and he was in Ames the other day, the site of the first Presidential vote, and he said, “We have to let the Sand Monkeys in Iraq start some of the heavy lifting.  We need all of our forces to invade Iran.”

Hagel as US President would be those evil Sand Monkey’s worst nightmare.

  3. Anyone who tells you that the Iraqis want us out of there is telling a half truth. They’re leaving off the “but not yet” part.

  4. The Iraqis understand they must be the ones that shoulder the burden for protecting themselves, that much has ALWAYS been understood. That has ALWAYS been the plan. It has not changed.

The time table for this to happen is not a firm, 1-2-3-and-out, type of issue. Read what Osama and gang have said about this whole thing, for G-d’s sake! They fully expect the US to cut and run. To quote Kathleen Parker from an Op-Ed page article in the paper here Monday, “Like fear, the weak will carries a scent; and those who seek our destruction have a nose for it.” The scent of a weak will is rising like a stench over the US and the nations capital these days and our enemies can smell it. Can you?

Like it or not, we are involved in a culture war with those who would have us submit to their version of g-d or die. There are no alternatives or warm-fuzzy solutions other than one of us must die. I prefer it is them. And soon.
