Watching the little demo video at Taurus alerted me to another bit of idiot proofing on this gun. That trigger shield is designed to be used, and has a bit of lanyard on it. The idea is, you tie the lanyard to your belt, and put the pistol in your pocket. When you draw it out, the shield stays in place until your arm extends a bit. Thus you can not - CAN NOT - get your finger on the trigger during the draw. This keeps you from accidentally shooting yourself. D’oh!!  And your trigger finger winds up beside the guard, not in it, for even more safety. Not a bad idea, come to think of it.
