  2. The only thing we got ordered to attend in Vietnam was Mass, when the Catholic Chaplain helicoptered out to our base.  The Captain said, “I want all the Snappers to be there!” He added, “I don’t know about the Protestant denominations (not wanting to force someone to act against his beliefs) but this one I’m sure of.”

  3. BTW gang, In order to prove we are living in ‘Bizzaro World’, yesterday the 2 teams who will play for the NCAA football title are OREGON AND AUBURN/Alabama. Its a game of the Libtards against the Rednecks. I am born and raised in Orygun but Im really leaning toward supportin the Rednecks . What say you?

5 bucks says I get nothin or just snark for bringing up sports here,, cool smile

  4. Toss up.  I say, as long as both teams play well and either deserves the win, I am happy with whoever wins.

  5. The only thing we got ordered to attend in Vietnam was Mass,

Suidae, you wouldn’t have had to order me to Mass. I’m Mormon, but any prayers/blessings are welcome. I’d have shown up sans orders.

  6. EXCELLNNNNT John C. I actually like both teams offense and I think it will come down to mistakes and defense.
Toss up is my call, less than a touchdown final score.

  9. Hey Chris, is that a co-ed unit, or are we seeing some Don’t Ask Don’t Tell in that pic? A pink phone camera held by a hand with long nails? Seems pretty girly from over here.

I have long suspected but can’t prove, that some ppl here at BMEWS write for sitcoms when not writing stuff here. Still laughing at that one.

OK, as long as some here have brought up the subject of sports, and since I’m long out of the loop, may I assume it’s football you’re referring to. Cos if it is, you younger guys missed that sport when it really, really was a fast game and more fun to watch. I have the advantage of 50s to compare to and part of 60’s too. And still on football.

  12. Ever watch the Klingon episodes of Star Trek: TNG???  When the Klingons wanted to insult/ignore someone they would cross their arms and TURN AWAY, refusing to even acknowledge the persons existence.

...thats what the troops should be doing to BHO.

  13. If they were near BagramAFB I’d think that this was my son (a Major) he is running up against a Col. who no one likes and is a ‘tough’ act to work for (won’t say more for my son and he is just hoping to hang on to his career(<8 years) to get to 20.

I wondered when I first heard about this - how they got a crowd for such an event - Now I know.

As to college football - I have watched more this year, since the daughter is camped out in the basement - but the only game I really watch is Army-Navy.
