  1. I remember the first time I realized the depth of the problem here in the U.S. concerning illegal immigrants from Mexico

I was vacationing in Colorado, Colorado Springs to be exact...late 90’s...There were several horrific traffic accidents on I-25 involving unlicensed, uninsured illegal immigrants from Mexico…

The news was saturated with ways that Colorado would help *cure* the problem..the illegal immigrant could go to the DMV, obtain a drivers license with little or no I.D....thus becoming a *legal driver*, thus able to obtain insurance...My thought...outrage, in that even law abiding U.S. citizens did not have such an easy advantage..

So began an even greater influx of illegal immigrants to a *friendly* state...now, not only could they obtain a D.L. , obtain insurance...but also, credit, and in many cases, actually buy a home.

Business’s were very eager to give them credit, and now since they were *legal illegals* it was *o.k.* pfffft

On a trip to California a couple of years later, the friend I was visiting explained why the local hospital had ceased to exist...Their indigent cases had quadrupled, equating into loss of revenue...Illegal immigrants from Mexico garnered a whopping 91 percent of the indigent cases…

I live on Saint Simons Island, Georgia...The G- 8 conference was hosted here this year...You should have seen first hand the **flurry** of activity to warn illegal immigrants of the coming stepped up security...In a very public way, the illegals were simply told to make themselves scarce, stay indoors if they could, and if approached by any one with security ....a number to call for help..law enforcement went out of their way to calm and reassure the illegals that they would not be *targeted*.

Were any illegals picked up while the G-8 was here? None that I know of...zero, zilch , nada...in fact...the attitude is *why bother*....

On Sea Island, which is part of this Island...big movers and shakers reside...they employ many illegal immigrants as housemaids, yardmen, stable hands, cooks, nannies, etc...Their thought?  “"gee, should I turn this person in knowing that they are illegally in this country...or pay them the paltry sum I do? Of course, they are going to get dirt cheap labor to take care of their 6 million dollar home...Again, it would not matter, for the general attitude is ...they will not be deported...So, the problem here is ignored

This brings to mind another story I saw on one of the news magazines...It explained how illegal immigrants from Southern California are deported back to Mexico....
The illegals are given 2 choices....one, they can ride a bus back across the border to Tijuana....at a minimal cost to the U.S....but then, you have that little problem of them simply making their way back, and quick ...
So...someone with the powers that be here in the U.S. thought up this plan....which is option 2…
put them on a Boeing 727...and fly them to Mexico City....the thinking here was, gee, fly them further away...it will be more difficult for them to come back ...
the second option happens to cost the U.S. $55,000 for each plane load....not to mention....which ever way they *choose* to go ...they are also given a little pocket change....
Nice! Most all of them pick option 2...since most have never flown, or been to Mexico City..When most were interviewed for the news magazine show...all of them seemed happy and excited...why wouldn’t they be? A nice plane ride to Mexico City, all expense paid...and! they can always come back to the U.S. again…
All interviewed said they certainly would come back to a country that treated them so well.

I have no complaint with *legal immigrants*...however, illegal immigrants should not be given any special priviledge...Just my opinion...but the U.S is dropping the ball badly in regards to this problem

ah. k. smoothing my hair.....I’m calm now smile

  2. This is actually a good thing.  Just think, a gang of moonbat lawyers roaming an open deser, I mean urban checkpoints, looking for the ever elusive Minutemen, all the while in their wingtip shoes (or Birkenstocks, or whatever inappropriate attire these fools come up with) and carrying open cease and desist orders.  Keeps them out of real trouble.  Anybody got a lollipop?
