Yeah, it’s getting sorta like “professional wrestling”.
The last contest of greed strike put me completely off of the game and I haven’t seen one since. I won’t even watch it on TV. Fuck ‘em.
Allan-
If you live in the Chicago area, you will also be able to get them at Walgreen’s for two dollars. That’s where I got mine.
Cards may have lost today but they are still way ahead of the Cubbies........
Bring back “dem Bums!”
My girlfriend and I went to see the D-Backs play the Detroit Tigers at BankOne BallPark. NICE DIGS! By 4 innings it was 13-0 D-Backs! The Tigers scored 5 runs in the 7th inning and 2 in the 9th to “regain some honor.”
Talk about a shellacking!
Allan-
I’m getting my “believe” bracelet today(Yes-I’m back home now. unfortunately.) I"ll pick one up for you.
And um Jen-Where was I last week when I had lunch with Allan and Dottie?
Hey Jen-here’s your sign.*runs like hell*
Growing up in Kentucky I paid more attention to college basketball and horse racing (naturally) but still am a casual baseball fan. Don’t have a particular team to cheer on most of the time but I was cheering on the Red Sox during their unbelievable WS run. I don’t think we’ll see a WS like that again any time soon. (Just like I don’t see anyone breaking Secretariat’s amazing run in the Belmont Stakes any time soon either)
IMO Wrigley Field is the most beautiful park in baseball, no other park even comes close. Thanks Skipper for posting this wonderful photo.
