  1. I believe the Rand corporation did a study a while back, and Neal Boortz likes to mention it every once in a while, of what the cheapest way to reduce cocaine use in this country was.

    The cheapest...was education and treatment.

But again, to play devil’s advocate: Prohibition didn’t work in the early 20th century with alcohol, it simply turned ruthless criminal scumbags into very wealthy ruthless criminal scumbags AND gave the Kennedy’s the money they needed to start a “dynasty”.

  2. Sodium—an element that burns in contact with water—must be smothered with inert oil
Chlorine—an element that is deadly in minute amounts
    Sodium Chloride—table salt

Results of 50 years’ WAR ON DRUGS --$Trillion$, tens of thousands, government power vastly multiplied.  Drugs today are stronger, more plentiful, cheaper than over.

Distance the government’s nose is up your & my ass due to enforcement—one foot

Deaths from legal alcohol and tobacco—millions.  Death from heroin and cocaine—hundreds.  Deaths from pot—zero.

Percentage of illegal drugs cost attributable to risk taking by makers/distributors-- 99%+

Reason for majority of overdose deaths due to unknown power and nature of stuff made in garages—99%.

Prohibition—Established organized crime’s power, contempt for law, corruption of cops
    War On Drugs—Ditto

Percent of drugs’ harm due to law enforcement—90+?

Number of sane people who think that War on Drugs has worked, is working, will work—0
Number of cops who know this shit ain’t working—huge.
Number of people willing to think and change things—????

  5. OCM - reading your post one must assume you grow your own weed Aren’t you ever concerned that someone might turn you in to the authorities?????  And I can’t believe you get on those of us who smoke cigarettes legally.............In one respect, I think I might be for legalization of weed for medicinal purposes - those who use it to relieve the pain of cancer seems to be a logical use for legalization...........otherwise, those who use it for pleasure do not have my vote!

  6. This, of course, explains the behavior of liberals --- just in case anyone actually cares why they behave the way they do.
